1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you confirm you are at least 13 years old (or have parental consent) and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

We provide free, browser-based educational utilities:

• GPA Converter to 4.0 scale, to 5.0 scale, 100 to 4.0, weighted to unweighted GPA converter, CGPA to GPA converter, percentage to GPA converter
• College GPA calculator, cumulative GPA calculator, weighted GPA calculator, semester GPA calculator, overall GPA calculator, Target GPA Planner
• Transcript Scanner & Transcript Builder (PDF) — client-side only
• Grading Systems reference (27+ scales) and Custom System builder

The Service is provided free of charge, without requiring an account, on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. No Professional Advice

Content and conversion results are for informational purposes only and do not constitute academic, admissions, or legal advice. Grading policies differ by institution, department, and year. Do not make irreversible decisions (e.g., applying without verification) based solely on this tool. Consult your university registrar, admissions office, or a certified credential evaluation service (WES, Scholaro, ECE) for official equivalency.

4. Accuracy & Limitations

• Our engine maps scores via percentile midpoint interpolation, which is more accurate than linear multipliers but still an approximation of institutional policies.
• We strive for correct grade bands (India 10, US 4.0/4.33/5.0, German, ECTS, etc.) but cannot guarantee all scales reflect the latest university circulars.
• Generated transcripts/PDFs are informal personal records, not official institutional transcripts. Do not present them as official documents.
• The Service may be unavailable during maintenance or due to factors beyond our control.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You must NOT:

• Falsify academic records or use PDFs to misrepresent grades to institutions, employers, or scholarship bodies
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or bypass security of the Service
• Upload malicious content or interfere with other users' experience
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law, university honor code, or third-party rights
• Remove copyright, attribution, or disclaimer notices from generated PDFs

Custom Systems & User Content

If you build a custom grading matrix, you are responsible for its accuracy. Do not input personal data (full government IDs, passwords) into any field. Custom systems stored via URL hash are public to anyone with the link — treat them accordingly.

6. Intellectual Property

• The Service's design, code, grading data compilation, and original copy are owned by onlinecgpaconverter.com or its licensors.
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
• You may share links to conversion results and unofficial PDFs for personal/academic planning. Commercial redistribution, reselling, or framing the Service without permission is prohibited.
• University names, scale names, and examination board names are referenced for descriptive accuracy and remain property of their owners.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not store your grades on servers; calculations are client-side. Please review the policy to understand data handling, cookies (theme, localStorage), and your rights.

8. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third-party sites (universities, WES, font providers) or use third-party services (hosting, Google Fonts, analytics if enabled). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Access them at your own discretion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT CONVERSION RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE ACCEPTED BY ANY INSTITUTION.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ONLINEGPA CONVERTER, ITS OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR HOSTING PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF ADMISSIONS, SCHOLARSHIPS, GRADES, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE (WHICH IS $0 FOR FREE USE), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so part of the above may not apply to you. In that case, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless onlinecgpaconverter.com and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or submission of falsified transcripts.

12. Changes to the Service & Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms to reflect legal or feature changes. We will post the new date above; material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 7 days. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. If you are a consumer in the EEA/UK, you also retain mandatory consumer protections of your residence.

14. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and onlinecgpaconverter.com regarding the Service.
